Note the August Team Game is on Tuesday, August 26.

Partnerships

Some of our favorite partners have gone north for the summer.  If you need help in finding a partner for any game, please contact June at 672-3277 or junebyr@aol.com or the director of the game you want to play in.

 Congratulations

Congratulations to Bob Dennard, Bruce Ohmann, Spike Lay, Marilyn Garcia, Linda Miller, and Gail Rust.  They are among the top 100 masterpoint winners for 2008 in District 9 as of April 2008.  The masterpoint race is on the District 9 website.  There is a link to that from our own website.  See bridge links on the left side of the main page.  ACBL & MPs

Congratulations on being a bridge player

A recent study done at the University of California at Berkeley showed an interesting result.  They had a group of over 60 women play bridge for 90 minutes.  3/4 of these women showed significant increases in T-cell production after the 90 minutes of bridge.  T-cells are involved with the immune system, helping your body ward off various diseases.  Honest, I did not make this up.  I read it in a magazine at the doctor's office.  Clearly, if I was at the doctor's office, I have not been playing enough bridge.
